Change, It starts with me

I've failed many times, I've been depressed many times and I have tried to recover from my failures many times. That many times of falling and recovering taught me how to be firm and be strong in facing the trials of life.

Recently, I got depressed for 5 days because I couldn't accept my rank in the third grading period. I really don't deserve where I am right now. I have worked hard hard in my studies but still I didn't go up. I've got to think that there is a bias happening in the grading system of some teachers in our school. I thought some were lazy to check the activities and were just creating a grade by writing on the card of what grade they want give for a particular student. Now that I am moving on, I am trying to be more active inside the class, do my assignments and do the necessary things that are needed to prove to myself and to everybody that I am not suitable in the rank of honors.

Finally, A great change is easily applied If you yourself is willing to change and eager to reach the things you haven't reach before.It will start in you. If you've done that the fruits of your sacrifices will always be sweet and fulfilling.

My Dream, My Future

You can always dream even you are awake or sleeping. But the thing is, satisfaction can't be felt by you because it happened only in your own imagination not in your visualization. You are longing for that dream. You want it to be true. But how will it be? It is not simple to reach dreams but by striving hard, by being determined and by not losing hope taht dream would be yours and real. Work for your dreams.

I have a lot of dreams and aspirations in life. Yet, how can I be with it if I'm lazy? So that's it! W can only reach our aspirations if we work for it. If we can conceive our body can achieve. By doing the right things, nothing is impossible!

My dream is to become a successful doctor someday. I've heard many reactions with regards to my plans in life. Some are positive and uplifting but others are negative. I have put in mind that they cannot really be me. So they are not able to direct me where I want to be. I will stick to my ambition. I can go farther by believing in myself. I believe that my dreams would be fulfilled in the future with the help of our Loving God.

Kannawidan Festival

Thw word "Kannawidan" is an Ilocano term for the word Inheritance. But it is popularly known as the festival of Ilocos Province which is the Kannawidan Festival. I believe that this focuses in the trade fair. Trading of products coming from different places which they consider as unique and can be just found in their places. Also, to show the culture and traditions of every place here in the province.
There were lots of contests just like Quiz bee, Poster-Slogan making, Pataray ti Kannawidan and many more that really called the attention of the people to join and gain experiences. There were also entertainers who came.They were Black Jack. Rufa Mee, John Pratts, Gladys Guevarra and other popular artists.
The only thing that made me feel satisfied in this event was the Miki of Batac. It was delicious. I have eaten and tasted Miki but that was different of them all. It was refreshing, heavy and affordable. One thing for sure is that I will never forget the taste of that Miki.
Moreover, this kind of event should be always practiced and never be forgotten because it improves the life of every person here in our beloved province.

What does January 25 mean to every Bigueño?

Everybody was busy. I could see people going around Vigan as if it was the only time for them to come out form their shells. People around were happy. Some of them were families who were delightful in in going to some historical and beautiful places here in our city- Vigan.
What is January 25 all about? It is the Vigan City Fiesta and we have our own festival which is the longganisa festival wherein there were different competitions like street dancing, shwdown, making of original recipes with the longganisa as the main ingredient and many more.
Moreover, Vigan City remains its culture and tradition thru this kind of events.

Drawing Near

Third grading period is full of funny moments or rememberable happenings that make me realize that our stay here at Ilocos Sur National High would not last. We are not going to stay here forever. But before that there were learning and experiences I have to share from this grading period particularly in T.L.E. subject.
Hyperlinks, the integration of the elements of a multimedia presentation. It can be done by creatively connecting the different elements of a multimedia presentation. It was nice and enjoyable. Aside from learning different things from the different subject areas, Learning from the realities of life is also part of my exploration.
I have encountered a misunderstanding with my classmate. Luckily, the problem was being fixed last Dec. 17, 2010 the day of our Christmas program. We felt different on that day. Forgiveness reigned in our hearts.
Challenges that have tested me will serve as my stairs in reaching the top. Moving on, I will continue dreaming and believing in my own self and I will try to be more diligent in my studies.

New Year, New Me

A year has entered and its the start of something new again. God has given us another year to change the things we wanna change, do the important move we have not done before and say the words we have not said. We are so lucky for we are still alive cherishing the blessings that God gave us. Another year is approaching us to do better and become better persons.
I was just dreaming before about the things I want to be on my hands but now I am living with those things and it seemed to be not important when I live with it. I have changed in the year 2010. I have learned so many things that made me knowledgeable despite my attitude become worse. This new year I want to be changed and I want my old self to be back.
Year 2011 gives me hope to live my life more productive.

Christmas' essence

Feeling something different during Christmas is really happening. There are many changes that have happened. Enemies are becoming friends, those who are evil in attitude are becoming kind, and most of all those who have hurt have given their forgiveness. Peace and love is present.  Caring, giving and loving is much present in this season. But these should not just be felt and acted during Christmas' season instead in our everyday lives. The continuity of being kind to others, being generous, loving and caring is the real essence of Christmas for me.
